Can P2P Take It to the Bank?
Azureus is the latest P2P project to play it straight. The company has raised $12 million to launch version 3.0 of its wildly powerful BitTorrent client, now being called Zudeo. Zudeo will include content publishing tools as well as an index of high-resolution, long-form content — the kind you can’t find on YouTube. Check out our full story at GigaOM.
BitTorrent (the company) has also raised millions for its own legit content store, making extensive efforts to sign up Hollywood studios. We look forward to hearing more from companies like the Venice Project, Wurld Media, and Mashboxx.
