Evel Knievel jumps at AOL, Kayne West
We imagine that Evel Knievel invested most of his professional time and money in doctors instead of lawyers. How else to explain his questionable lawsuit against AOL for turning up links in its search engine to the Kanye West video that Evel is also suing over? And why not Google? According to TechDirt, “[T]heir video search engine happens to be the one that someone used to tell Knievel that the video was online.”
Cynics are pointing out that this whole fracas gives Mr. Knievel plenty of publicity juice, and that he may end up getting a settlement decision. If that’s the case, then what we may be witnessing is another well-executed stunt by a master of the genre, and it figures he’ll walk away from it all unscathed in the end.
