Save YouTube Videos Easily with Vixy
Ever wonder how to save the videos you see on YouTube, MetaCafe, Veoh and the like so that you can store them or take them on the road? What used to involve some complicated steps is now as easy as copying and pasting a URL into Vixy and choosing a format — including MP4 for your iPod or 3GP for your cell phone.
It’s a wonder that YouTube doesn’t offer a similar service itself. Google Video, for instance, allows you to download copies of its videos in a variety of formats. While there is a limit to how much total bandwidth you can use in a day, with no software to install, Vixy is just the thing to transfer, say, a heart-warming holiday music video onto that iPod before gift-wrapping it.
