Does the Apple TV Work at all on a standard (4:3) Screen? Does it work on a standard definition TV as well. If anyone knows, post the answer. PLEASE.

I'd definitely buy one if it could replace my tivo. It doesn't sound like it can play normal (much less HD) TV though :(

Talked to one of the Apple employees demoing the device on the floor and he said "anything you can play on iTunes, you can play on Apple TV." I pressed him further, asking about wireless downloads, and he said to think of the device like an iPod. So then I asked what about the new iPod, the iPhone? He said you can do anything you could do with a computer with an iPhone.

How does the external hard drive via usb function? Does it appear as a traditional NAS, can I write to it? Or am I only able to stream content from the attached external drive to my computer?

Does it play DivX/XviD files, too? I know those are playable on Front Row with the proper plug-in/codec installed, but will this do the same?
