Amanda’s Shocking CES Show
Talk about doing anything to get ratings: Amanda Congdon turns in some truly shocking coverage from CES, where she decides to test-drive the perp end of a personal taser.
As painful as it looks, it’s only about half as wrenching as watching Amanda’s attempts at pro-style video reports for traditional ABC broadcast news (look for a link in the sidebar of the ABC video player for a CES intro). While we aren’t hearing the snide comments about her work that others are, we will offer this advice: stick to the taser reports and forget the sterile standups.

Before that show I’ve been liking it more though. Yeah, and her personal vlog is much more my speed.

[…] And then there’s the tasering. Beyond the porntastic quality of the stunt, it also felt derivative. I immediately heard my third-grade teacher say “Well if Erik Estrada jumped off a bridge would you do that too?” […]
