What makes the cable companies think they can compete? Now that the consumer can choose anything they want to watch, the power to select has been taken away from the telcos. They might as well focus on being the best bit-pushers they can be because any money spent on IPTV or other closed systems, like walled VOD gardens, will ultimately be money thrown away.</p> All these IPTV deployments will be blown away by stand-alone video downloads from focused content-providers.
