YouTubers Thank the Little People
The YouTube Award winners for 2006 have been announced, and the trophies are presumably being shipped to points around the world. Unfortunately the closure of voting came with little fanfare, as the YouTubers aren’t spending their billions on an awards ceremony.
NewTeeVee contributor Minic Rivera has a nice summary of each winner for the Blog Herald. To all the nominees, NewTeeVee offers Most Inspirational winner Free Hugs.
The innovative voting system asked users to rank the nominees in each category once a day for the five days of voting. (See explanation.) The voting page, which included easy access to each video, is still up to reflect the final rankings in each category (though no numbers have been announced).
If you’ve gotten a thirst for ranking videos that’s now unquenchable, The Video Awards announces a new batch of winners every month.
YouTube’s winners:
Most Creative: OK Go Most Inspirational: Free Hugs Best Series: Ask a Ninja Best Comedy: Smosh Best Music: Terranaomi Best Commentary: The Wine Kone Most Adorable Video: Kiwi!

Congrats to the Ninja!
But then we knew he would kick everyones’ ass cause he’s a Ninja.
I can’t believe more of the videos from InternetVideoStars.com didn’t win! Maybe some of those are from 2005 rather than 2006. Only one made it, though!

Oh Gregg, your site is the worst thing since the invention of the RealPlayer.
You act like you even know the people whose work you steal/exploit on your site. You bring nothing to the conversation but a stale smell in the air.
If this was a forum on Fark, I would call you a bad name. Something like Douchebag. Or maybe Turd. Yes, I like that one: Turd. You are lucky this is not Fark. I try to play nice while enjoying my stay in the Om Empire.
I came in fourth!
I only mention this because it’s a cheap excuse to leave a comment about something I came in fourth for.
Best commentary. Or, rather, fourth best.
Do I see me on Internetvideostars.com? Nope. So it must be every bit as bogus as Schlomo says. Only more so.
Thanks for the mention Jackson! Have been reading the blog since the launch, keep up the great work.
