‘Ask a Ninja’ Signs Book Deal

In a new twist on the now timeless tale of bloggers signing book deals, Ask a Ninja has scored a six-figure deal from Random House’ Crown Publishing according to Variety. Tentatively titled “The Ninja Handbook,” Variety says it “will feature ironic advice on how to be a better ninja.”

The news comes on the heels of the Ninja’s appearance on Comedy Central’s The Showbiz Show with David Spade, where web correspondent Colleen Smith landed “the interview of our generation” with the mysterious ninja himself.

The recognition and success couldn’t be happening to better folks, especially considering that the ninja doesn’t just kill for sport, but also fights on behalf of net neutrality and against censorship on MySpace.

When Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine started the Ninja project, they were at the self-described “lowest point” of their careers. Better read than dead, certainly.
