Joost Lets In Anyone Who Knows Anyone

Joost, the internet TV software from the creators of Kazaa and Skype, opens to the public today. Well, sort of. Existing beta testers can now send out unlimited invitations. If I have some time later I’ll go through the comments on our old posts and try to let all you guys in.

The application will now display ads from some of the blue-chip names Joost announced deals with last week, a list that includes Coca-Cola, HP, Intel, Nike, Electronic Arts, Sony Electronics, and IBM.

We recently rounded up some of the best video on Joost; the company claims more than 150 channels currently, with not much in the way of indie content. (More from Om here.)

  60. Hello,
You do not know me. I cannot call you afriend as you do not know me, but i am afriend to cats and dogs even if they have not met me. I hope to receive an invite for joost.
Perhaps you would like to know a little something about this complete stranger and his interest in internet media.
disconnected tv for almost a year, because i was always on internet. had a relapse a few months ago and got gogglebox internet tv (Awfull) and Online tv (identical and awful.) was watching some Shoutcast tv on Winamp. (very little there but still my favorite media player of the big three.) Youtube bores me. I began to re-subscribe to netflix and occasionally rent from two good local video stores. I am not afraid of subtitles.
My primary interest in internet is research on political, ( the internet provided the info that tv lied about the pre war intelligence, and continuing war) science, medicine, and MUSIC. however, music videos also bore me.
I love internet radio and have Winamp pro, disapointed greatly in the advert heavy real player, miss EarthTuner ( a world icon that you would click on the world map and hear what was available in those days. there was also digituner- another MIT early internet radiotuner. ) I subscribe to live365 but find it of decreasing value. I dislike windows media player.
There is life without tv, but i need my tv fix once in a while.
I removed my web page - they were mere homage to math, literary, with music that even i didnt visit. I am trying to get a shockwave cartoon to function involving the lighter side of the prince of darkness living in an out of date way of life listening to old vynil recordings and overly sentimental about the good old days) . but it is difficult so far. Please send me an invite, thank you..
