First off, the Apple Store in New York’s SOHO is hosting a “One Hour Film School” and even providing toys to play with along with tips to make better movies.
Next Thursday, the Jumpcut team is hosting Lunch 2.0 at Yahoo’s Brickhouse office in San Francisco’s SOMA — and they made a charming video announcement! You can count on someone from the NewTeeVee team being there.
Saturday, New York vloggers will have to choose between the camcandy at the Mermaid Parade, Frisbee 2.0 and Wiimbeldon at the Barcade in Brooklyn. Thankfully, 3,000 miles gives me an excuse not to have to choose.
This Sunday, Portland is hosting their first Dorkbot event. Paint and Copter will be presenting video art. “By synthesizing live and pre-manipulated video feeds, field recordings and live instrumentation, Paint and Copter filter cultural noise and reprocess it into a new, mesmerizing thread.” Bitchin.
Wednesday, Microsoft is hosting a developer discussion for its new Silverlight multimedia platform in the Ra’anana subburb of Tel Aviv, Israel. Microsoft Developer Evangelist Yosi Tagusi promises “no slides just code.”
The Online Publishers Association video advertising roadshow is coming to San Francisco Thursday morning, with a roundtable discussion at the Westin St. Francis in Union Square. Perfect breakfast event before that lunch at Yahoo if you’re near The City.
Just a reminder that if you want your event listed, just contact us (or post it on Upcoming).
