Republican YouTube Debate Postponed? As we wrote last week, leading GOP candidates haven’t been enthusiastic about participating in September’s planned CNN-YouTube debate. BuddyTV Raises $2.8 Million; so says peHUB. We’ve asked the company for confirmation and haven’t heard back yet. BuddyTV CEO Andy Liu confirmed the round. Interestingly, the funding for the television discussion and news site was led by Gemstar-TV Guide International. The company had received seed funding from Charles River Ventures. (peHUB)

I don’t see Silverlight killing Flash (the way it is).
One of the reasons why Flash became so popular, was because it was easy for artists to create things. (I.e., the usability of the Flash tools was designed with artists in mind.)
As far as I know, Silverlight is geared towards developers only. And will likely have a very difficult time displacing Flash because of this. (Because they won’t get artist using Silverlight.)
