Goodnight Burbank Creator Launches Teen Show
Hayden Black, creator and star of nightly news satire Goodnight Burbank, has developed a wildly divergent series called Abigail’s “X-Rated” Teen Diary. This is the show we reported Black was developing for HBO, but the current incarnation does not appear to be affiliated with HBO. Update: Black explains in the comments that the show was to be part of HBO’s now defunct “This Just In” site, but it’s now independent because the site was discontinued.
Starting Monday the show will be released in three one-minute long segments per week. You can check out a preview episode (embedded above) at the show’s dedicated site.
As Black describes it,
Abigail’s X-Rated Teen Diary is about a 13 year old girl’s videoblog and her unique take on life; school, friends, parents and living with Bloomberger’s Disease. That’s a genetic condition that doesn’t just prematurely age the body - it messes with it hard. So now Abigail resembles…me!

This was indeed the project HBO’s This Just In asked me to do a pilot for - it’s now back in my hands as that online department went This Just Out.
