Virgin Atlantic Gets Modern

Web series KateModern will be taking off on Virgin Atlantic International flights, thanks to a new deal between the airline and producer LG15 Studios (the creators of Lonelygirl15). Passengers will be able to watch the first 31 episodes of the UK-based mystery (that is, if they’re not watching BoingBoingTV).

Kate is pretty deeply integrated with the social network Bebo, so it may be strange to watch it completely out of that context — but this seems like a good move to get people outside of the web world exposed to the show.

  1. Also check out Virgin America’s recent promotion they’re running for Diggnation fans. It looks like a straight up 2-for-1 deal, so long you and your free friend are on the same fare. Sounds like a sweet deal, but let us know if anyone actually signs up for this.
