Nope, CNET Didn’t Buy Rev3
A blogger made an offhand mention of CNET having bought Revision3 that’s gaining some steam this morning. However, the story is false; CNET did not acquire Revision3. Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback tells us people are confusing a distribution deal between the two companies with an acquisition.
“This is totally false,” Louderback writes via email. “Someone is confusing the distribution agreement with acquisition rumors. There is no truth to this chatter.”
Disclosure: Revision3 produces the GigaOM Show, which I guest-hosted this week.

Yay for follow up journalism!
Way to squash a rumor before it got out of control.

Liz , it’s great , and refreshing , to see a journalist with some backbone. Using your outlet to put the credibility back in the media , by stopping a false statement , is a classy move. This bud’s for you. Merry Christmas
