Apple to Add Disney to Rental Queue
Apple is expected to add Disney as a partner in its upcoming movie rental service, according to Variety. The Mouse House will join Fox in the new service, which will reportedly be announced at Macworld in January.
The move makes sense given that Disney already sells its new and old movies through iTunes, and Disney and Steve have have a relationship through that tiny little production company called Pixar. Variety anticipates that Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM are likely to jump on the Apple rental bandwagon, while Sony, Warner and Universal will most likely take a pass, for “competitive reasons.”

There is no relationship through Pixar. Disney now owns Pixar, and Jobs is Disney’s largest stockholder, as well as holding a seat on the board of directors.

Hi Wagster,
I think that still qualifies as a relationship.
