Both Crackle and the WGA strike were good to us: our "Hollywood Rumble" video got almost 200,000 views on Crackle after being featured on its home page.

This was considerably more than any other site we posted to... at the height of the strike, our vid was featured on industry blogs at Variety, Defamer, etc. which all pointed to our YouTube version, but that only amounted to about 15,000 views. Being featured on Yahoo video and Revver yielded far less views (in the hundreds).

We were amazed at Crackle's ability to bring an audience, and bring it quickly. I wonder what the layoffs mean in terms of making the company nimbler with high-end (read: paid for) content and less of a UGC beast. Perhaps you can get by with a few development execs, as opposed to a big whole squad of editors/sifters.
