Mark Burnett Not Funding lonelygirl
Conrad Riggs, a producer with Mark Burnett Productions (Survivor), did make a “small investment” in Lonelygirl15 before the series started striking brand integration deals, and LG15 studios rents office space from Riggs in Santa Monica. But that’s the extent of it. You can put away your tinfoil hat. While online conspiracy theorists speculated today that Mark Burnett Productions was a secret investor in Lonelygirl15, it’s just not true, according to an LG15 spokesperson who told us:
“Mark Burnett and Mark Burnett productions have absolutely nothing to do with Lonelygirl15 or LG15 studios.”
The rumor mill started when Internet video web site Anchor Cove discovered that Riggs, a producer with Mark Burnett Productions, was listed in association with Lonelygirl15 for a conference panel he was on.
