Reality Digital Isn’t Scared of YouTube APIs
Reality Digital CEO Cynthia Francis was at the TV of Tomorrow conference, so I nabbed her to get her company’s reaction to the YouTube API announcement this morning. As Liz pointed out, even though YouTube doesn’t consider its new APIs a white-label solution “at all,” it’s a pretty safe bet that YouTube’s simple and cheap solution will take business away from companies in the sector. What does Reality Digital think?
Francis isn’t too worried. She believes the heavy presence of YouTube branding makes Reality Digital’s customized service more attractive for people who want a “pure white label product.” But she’s CEO, so it’s her job to put on a brave face. She even thinks that there’s plenty of room and diversity in the crowded white label space.
