What’s the Role of Devices in Content Consumption?

If this question interests you and you can be in Palo Alto next Tuesday evening, come to a MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB) panel I’m moderating with VUDU CEO Mark Jung, Draper Richards VC Howard Hartenbaum, Microsoft TV director Ben Huang, and VUZE CEO Gilles BianRosa. We’ll be talking about the future of content consumption, and focusing on the relative value of the platforms of today and tomorrow.

VLAB has discounted tickets for NewTeeVee readers available for $30 here. The action starts at 6 p.m. on March 18 at Stanford Business School. Hope to see some of you there.

  2. Liz I wont be there but the revolution of Devices has already started even if its not that noticeable .

The Wii is a great example of this and as you know many online video companies are developing for it even though there is a old version of Flash (Flash 7) and the Wii has minimal memory .The Wii is just a start next it will be Internet Ready TVs and Nintendo are already aware of this and recently launched the TV Guide Channel in Japan.

Patrick Koppula the CEO of FFWD has a great post on his blog about the Wii .

  3. Matt, I’m make sure to bring up the Wii. James, I’ve been told there will be video taken of the event. If and when it’s posted I’ll let you know.
