It ran for three seasons, and was arguably funnier than SNL in the same period (recognized as the nadir of SNL&#039;s long tenure).  They turned out roughly twice as many episodes as The State or Mr. Show with Bob &amp; David.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Lack of availability has limited its influence on subsequent generations of viewers and comics, but I think it&#039;s unfair to dismiss it as &quot;failed&quot; simply because it&#039;s in the shadow of greater successes like SNL and SCTV.&lt;/p&gt;
