Mogulus Adds VOD, Finally

Exactly five months after we really could have used it at our NewTeeVee Live conference, live-streaming startup Mogulus has added on-demand reruns of its broadcasts.

We hadn’t realized at the time that live and on-demand are such different skill sets. If Mogulus (which, full disclosure, was a NTV Live sponsor) hadn’t added this feature, it’s doubtful we would have used them again.

Mogulus said on its company blog that clips would be available for download by users and streaming by viewers immediately after broadcasts finish. Mogulus also announced today it is partnering with Kulabyte for live HD webcasts.

  • UStream also let’s you record your broadcast and make it available for on-demand viewing for anyone who missed it. They also have a nice feature not available on Mogulus – the ability to password protect your broadcast to an invition-only audience. Seems like Mogulus is playing catch-up.
