TechCrunch Launches Elevator Pitches
TechCrunch launched Elevator Pitches today, a new service that lets founders and CEOs upload videos of themselves pitching their startup in under 60 seconds. The audience then votes for their favorite, with the highest-ranked pitches landing a coveted spot on TechCrunch.
The videos are all hosted on YouTube and run through BeFunky’s Video Cartoonizer, which makes them look like a Richard Linklater film — only you won’t fall asleep during them.
TechCrunch’s program is very similar to what Vator.tv already does (its name is derived from “elevator”), though recently Vator.tv has been branching out into more original content as well.
