Does this mean I win my bet with Charlie Giancarlo when we said Cisco would launch a YouTube site ?

Veodia is beautiful in it's simplicity and performance. It's one of the better internet video solutions to have emerged in the past year+, great quality and out-of-the-box ease of use.

But, it doesn't require any IT staff or managers -- and, the "deciders/decisioners" who generally impart their wisdom based on complex (and costly) solutions that legitimate their jobs (and introduce complexities that keep them working) will merrily glom onto something from Cisco (especially if it requires a conference to attend).

IT guys (let's face it, they are male) act in their own interest first, not unlike web developers who prefer Flash graphics and design over video, since it gives them more work.

Cynical? Youbetcha.
