Liz,

I mean this sincerely, I enjoy reading your stories as you are one of the best covering video today, but I feel it's important to accuracy if I point out your blog is incorrect. YouTube does not have the ability (yet) to place an ad in a piece of video content regardless of where it's posted on the Web. It can do that only on YouTube.

I wrote that YouTube, as well as two other companies are working on technology that will track and insert ads Web wide.

If YouTube has been doing Web wide searches and automated ad insertions, it shouldn't be hard for someone at Google to confirm on the record. They wouldn't keep it a secret if was part of an existing product would they?

Just to make sure, I called Google after reading your post and they assured me that the existing product does not track video and insert ads for video found anywhere else but YouTube. I invite you to call as well.

I hope you will correct your blog. Thank you.

I like the idea of other people posting my content and then I make money at it. I just can't be asleep at the wheel or the person posting it might walk away with some of my cash.

Then I would have to send 2nd Degree Black Belt Laura Niles after them.
