750industries Raises $1M

750industries, a video marketing and distribution firm, has raised $1 million in funding from Ron Conway, Maples Investments and Baseline Ventures. We’ve been tracking this company as it’s been in stealth and hope to have more for you about its business soon.

TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington apparently cornered founder Dan Ackerman Greenberg last night at a Giants game and charmed the news out of him. We confirmed the funding with Greenberg today. Greenberg had previously stirred up a ton of controversy with a post on TechCrunch about methods for sneaky (and some would say slimey) promotion of videos on YouTube.

From what we understand, 750industries is kind of like TubeMogul plus savvy video marketing, and apparently the company is already profitable. Greenberg and his team had run video creation and distribution promotions for companies including Warner Bros. Records in the past.
