Animasher Launches Animation Tool
For those of you who’ve always wanted to create a cartoon but, quite frankly, suck at drawing, there’s a new breed of tools coming online that lets you animate to your heart’s content — no talent required. A small bootstrapped Swedish company called Animasher, which just launched its beta today, is one of them.
The free service lets you combine your photos and music into an animated short. Select from an existing library of images or upload your own and give each object movement through a straightforward graphical interface. Your final animation will then be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License 3.0.
The result is a bit crude, and the tools aren’t as robust as those available at GoAnimate (another recent entry into the do-it-yourself animation space), but they’re perfectly fine for sending a quick cartoon to a friend.
Details on the company are sparse; the site’s “About” section just says “We’re a small Swedish company. This is our first website. Please be nice.” We’ve contacted them for more details, but seeing as they are a small company in Sweden, the time difference will probably mean that added info will have to wait.
But you don’t have to wait. Check it out now. Maybe you could even create nice bit of animation and enter it in our upcoming NewTeeVee Los Angeles Pier Screening. The theme is “Non-human,” which means animation, machinima or Animashers are welcome.

Thanks for the info! It is very easy to use, and I don’t have any video editing experience!! Thanks!
The points above are all very insightful.
