The common issue with former Redlasso users is that they are looking for something (ie. the ability to editorialize content from news national programmers and broadcasters) that the content owners simply won't allow. It's one thing to clip an SNL skit, but quite another to edit a piece of news given the far reaching implications of that content. It has never been 1Cast's intention to be a Redlasso replacement, as we disagree with the business premise. 1Cast's focus has been to deliver a unique service offering that puts timely and relevant content in the hands of consumers, whether on the web, their smartphone and coming soon, within their living room. 1Cast has made great strides in licensing content directly from national and international programmers and more announcements are forth coming in Q-1 so stay tuned.

As another former redlasso user, and someone that now feels duped by being lured into 1Casts "redlasso users welcome" marketing ploy ... 1Cast STINKS. It's not nearly as good as redlasso. It reminded me of voxant. Boring content. Maybe it will get better... but I want my redlasso back. I've heard that might happen. I'm praying the networks will see the value and help bring back the lasso! 1Cast... BOOO. And oh yeah, I couldnt get the player to work right either.

As a former RedLasso user, the thing I like about 1Cast is that it allows me to create my own video playlist. This is much more useful than a single video clip.
