Unfortunately Liane's difficulties with the wireless were due to the WiFi drivers for WEP. In her case she was trying to enter a 64-bit WEP passphrase, when she should have been entering an ASCII WEP passphrase. This was all that was required to get the wireless working. In addition to working with WEP, the Kiwi works with open networks and WPA networks.

With additional features coming in the near future, I'm hopeful that the Kiwi will appeal to Liane more (as well as her readers). The features open up the content possibilities greatly (more than the 6 billion videos on YouTube).

Boy is your site glitchy! I hope It didn't infect my kidneys with rolling stones.

So NOW I get the Late Night joke about ordering pizza with the click of a remote! I'm sure as a broad subscribership base now dwindling went after WebTV and even the AOLTV failure, many technophiles will buy kiwis for the heck of it. How do you spell Ammahzin? Can I buy with PayPal?

Look at the Neuros Link - it lets you do all of the things the Kiwi does, and then some (watch video from sites like Hulu, NBC, Fancast, Amazon VOD, etc.). Yes, you pay more, but you are not limited on the content or on underlying OSs that have glitches like the ones you metion (it's built on Ubuntu, so the wireless networking should 'just work').

why is it named the Kiwi?
I'm from NZ, and this is either highly embarrassing, unrepresentative, or the basis for a diplomatic row
