Great, its make me easier to view movies online
I have canceled my cable and found I get the good basic channels with the digital converter and online at Hulu.com!
Can anyone say Surfthechannel.com?
just asking, I’m on a severe bandwidth cap, is it possible to find low-def TV? HD is killing me, what used to cost 90Mb is now 200. I get that a day…
I discovered SlashControl.com a couple of weeks ago and like it a lot. I like the fact it is focused on just watching video online with AOL TV providing articles/photos/etc.
slashcontrol.com looks like the poor man’s version of Fancast. Seriously, could AOL rip off more?
Home page:
http://www.slashcontrol.com/ vs. http://www.fancast.com/
Full Episodes:
http://www.slashcontrol.com/free-tv-shows vs. http://www.fancast.com/full_episodes
Full Movies:
http://www.slashcontrol.com/free-movies vs. http://www.fancast.com/movies
Yeah I think it’s a good starting point but you missed out some of the basics that should have been on that list like hulu.com which has tv shows and schedules what’s going to be added soon.
And Freetubetv.net which has one of the best collection of scheduled live tv streams out there. Then there’s tvshack.net
Hi,
Liz, It might be in private beta, but You didn’t give any love to http://www.SETJAM.com !
I think a company like clicker is aiming to be The single online guide (with all that money, etc.), but I think that just as there are many printed tv guides, there will be many online equivalents, -unless Facebook enter the field and builds on Tivo…..
Those sites that include illegal content in their results when free and legal is available, will be challenged, especially when the studios go directly to the ad networks, etc. to cut off their operations.
Kind regards,
Shakir Razak
the bes movies,tv,cable,episodes aggregator is
http://www.nosubscriptionrequired.net.
Watched the Clicker presentation live. It was a great pitch and enjoy playing with the site. I am a big believer of a trusted editorial voice “guiding” people to quality content with ease and expediency. Curators are key. We all know online video is exploding and enabling users with better surfing/searching/guiding tools from both a technology and human perspective will be critical.
Thanks and hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.
it’s a good post but i think you missed Freetubetv.net which is really good.
Thanks
Have a nice week….
My biased preference is Spreety TV Online: http://Spreety.com
The founders there gave up TV in 2007, and watch TV online. Their guide is built for use via a remote control, and works just fine with a mouse.
Hey, if you are look for a simple tv guide you should check out Stay Tuned In. I tried clicker, but didn’t like it, more of the same. I created a simple TV guide instead.
Slashcontrol gets my vote. Did a search for “Gilligan” and it pulled up a bunch of episodes.
