How Will Nielsen Navigate TV Everywhere? Find Out at NewTeeVee Live!
Nielsen is calling together a meeting of 75 of its clients in New York next week to discuss the evolving video landscape, including topics like the “TV Everywhere” online initiatives that are popping up from operators and programmers.
As our friend Robert Seidman over at TV by the Numbers writes, Nielsen has some real challenges ahead given how people are time-shifting and place-shifting their television, and watching on TVs, PC and mobile screens.
If you didn’t get an invite to that Nielsen confab, you can learn about the company’s evolution into this new world of newteevee first-hand from Brian Fuhrer, Nielsen SVP and media program leader, who will be speaking at our NewTeeVee Live conference on Nov. 12 in San Francisco. Fuhrer’s been working with Nielsen clients on measuring audiences relating to the various programmer and operator TV Everywhere initiatives.
TV Everywhere is a major theme for this year’s conference, and we’ll be tackling it from multiple angles. On the operator side, Amy L. Banse, the president of Comcast Interactive Media, the biggest player right now in the TV Everywhere space, will be speaking about the topic. We’ll also touch on it from the programmer side with Erik Flannigan, EVP of digtial media for MTV Networks.
The day will also be packed with A-list speakers, with Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix returning to the show along with new faces like Kevin Lynch, the CTO of Adobe; Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE; and Anthony Wood, CEO of Roku.
This one day conference is a must for anyone in the TV industry. The last two years sold out, so get your tickets today.
