Watch the Michael Jackson This Is It Red Carpet Live
Here’s a fun way to spend your Tuesday afternoon. Michael Jackson, a huge draw even though he’s no longer with us, is taking the stage for the last time, via the This Is It documentary. The behind-the-scenes movie, set to be shown in theaters for just two weeks, debuts tomorrow with a red carpet premiere at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. PT. And the red carpet activities will be streamed internationally online on multiple sites, including Crackle, ThisIsIt-movie.com, Ustream and Facebook.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has enlisted Premiere Entertainment to produce the webcast, hosted in the U.S. by Big Boy and Luscious Liz of KPWR, with five more international hosts webcasting in a promised nine different languages.
At this point, we’re used to red carpet streams for awards shows like the Oscars. If the Michael Jackson stream does well — and it is likely to — red carpet streams may soon be another booming category of live online content. The only problem is, the web audience gets left in the dust when the VIPs head into the theater to see the real show.
Update: Livestream says it will also be broadcasting from the red carpet, with a freelance host using the company’s cool new Livepack streaming backpack. The feed will be here.
Update 2: The stats are in from Ustream.

We will for sure be watching!!! RIP Michael Jackson, you will always be remembered!!!
My friends and I will be watching! Thanks for the websites.
I’m looking forward to seeing this. The reviews that I’ve seen say that it’s pretty good. I REALLY hope that this movie does the great man justice.
I’m so excited to see MJ’s movie tonight! I’m just glad they released the “This Is It” song early online. I’m still going to get the concert film’s album since there’s a collectible photo book.
Hopefully, this will give the millions of Jackson fans some finality. At least until the NEXT documentary and the NEXT greatest-hits album are released…

This is it truly Must C Movie. My nerve system just shutdown.
This Is NOT It!!!
This is TALENT. So yes, this is IT, because sorry to tell you, when there is talent, there is talent. Rehearsal or not, the talent is undeniable. So Bravo Michael¡¡¡
thanks for the websites.
This film could have easily come across as a love letter to a fallen legend. It would have also been taken as a slap in the face to an already tarnished legacy left behind by a dimming star. This Is It is neither. This is a film that cuts deep, and leaves a memorable scar of hope. Jackson may have been an odd seed, but at least he wasn’t a sheep (black, OR white). He had heart, faith, and an understanding of what brilliance sounded (and looked) like. What we see here are both moments of defying confidence, and others of coyly depicted shy self-doubt.
Those who have relationships with millions are often alone. And what is left afterwards are their stories – written in books, made into movies…… I personally think ‘This is it’ is an irony of what we see and what we precieve. Sad end though.
MJ was a legend. Only his movies can bring in such a huge response that its producer, Sony, is looking for ‘This is also it’ – a sequel of the current movie.
I watched This Is It movie it was great for ever. As I know it is the best and high demanded documentary movie forever. Michael Jackson is the person who was the popular singer among adults, youth and the baby. He fascinated all fans through his sweet voice with marvelous dances.
