Try Out EpixHD.com for Yourself — 30 Days of Free Premium Movies
Epix, the new premium TV and web service that’s a joint project of Viacom, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate and MGM, goes live on TV to Verizon FiOS subscribers Friday night. What if you don’t have FiOS? You’ll be able to get into a three-day weekend trial of the online EpixHD.com service, with passes handed out on a rolling basis from now through Thanksgiving. Just go to EpixHD.com/invite. The service has some 175 movies available, including some relatively recent hits like Iron Man and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as well as a custom-produced recording of a live Madonna show from her Sticky & Sweet tour of last year and an exclusive Eddie Izzard comedy special.
NewTeeVee readers can get an even better trial, as Epix is providing you guys with 200 30-day invite codes. If you want one, follow epixHD on Twitter and Tweet “@epixhd Experience Epix #newteevee” and they’ll direct-message you with a code.
Epix is also planning to play around with some fun promotions — for instance, when it gets windowed access to all the James Bond films at the same time, it will give a group of Bond buffs access codes good for exactly the amount of time it would take to watch all of them “back to back to back,” said Epix Chief Digital Officer Emil Rensing.
